Are Cages for Indoor or Outdoor Use?

The cages are meant to be inside or in a protected area so that predators with sharp teeth (lizards, rats, mice) aren't able to chew through the mesh and eat the caterpillars, and so they're not exposed to heavy winds or rain. We keep them in a 3-season porch.

If you do use our cages outside, we suggest buying one of our cages with viewing windows created with the finest mesh to keep out the smallest predators and parasites like parasitic wasps.
