My Caterpillar is on the cage zipper. What should I do?
First off, we created the drawbridge door design to make this less of an issue. When closing the cage door, always have the zippers meet each other at the very top of the door. That way, if a caterpillar is on one side of the zipper, you can still zip down the other side of the cage to access your other caterpillars.
If a caterpillar forms its chrysalis on the zipper:
1. wait 48 hours until after the chrysalis is formed and hardened
2. remove all other caterpillars and milkweed from the cage
3. lay the cage so the door side (and chrysalis) are on the floor
